The National Public Emergency (NPE) was signed by President Trump, and this allows state governors to have the ability to sign an 1135 waiver that will allow their state to accept medical practitioners<\/a> with licenses from other states if you have equivalent licensing in another State.<\/p>\n Basically, states that have declared a state of emergency can\u00a0apply\u00a0to the CMS for a state licensing waiver in order for you to practice there. The main goal is to increase telehealth providers with the last resort being to physically move medical personnel around.<\/p>\n This will allow \u201cproviders with an active license in good standing from any state to service patients in their state and be reimbursed for those services by Medicare and Medicaid”.
