JOB SUMMARY This mid-level position with at least two (2) modality certifications, under the direction of a radiologist and / or the Director of Radiology, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical details. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Required: Graduate of a program of Radiology Technology

EXPERIENCE Required: Two (2) or more modality certifications and/or three (3) years of experience; clinical knowledge needed to perform general radiographic procedures and / or specialty areas

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES Required: 1. Ability to work closely with all other technologists, radiologists, medical staff, patients, public and other hospital personnel 2. LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Required: 1. Current license with ARRT The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists 2. Registered in two disciplines of Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography, Mammography, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Quality Management, Sonography, Bone Densitometry, Vascular-Interventional Radiography, Breast Sonography, Vascular Sonography, and Abdomen Sonography 3. Current license with the TMB Texas Medical Board 4. Current BLS from AHA The American Heart of Association
Preferred: Registered in more than two disciplines
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Specific: 1. Assumes responsibility for designated area of work and procedures as required for routine or special assignments. (EF) 2. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of assigned work area. (EF) 3. Secures and stocks supplies as appropriately needed. (EF) 4. Rotates on-call with other radiographers. (EF) 5. Attends area seminars and related workshops needed to keep abreast of advances in procedures or techniques in the work field. 6. Attends all in-service or orientation programs as scheduled. 7. Reports all equipment malfunctions or failures to supervisor. (EF) 8. Contributes to the Radiography students education in a positive way. (EF) 9. Applies age-specific needs in the assessment, treatment or care of patients. 10. Patient Care Services assigned members of Stroke Team are responsible to attend quarterly meetings and to comply with eight (8) hours of stroke education yearly.
Hospital: 1. Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures. 2. Day-to-day performance complies with the hospitals Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations. 3. Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospitals Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines. 4. Performs within his/her professional Scope of Practice at all times.
