Job Description

Emerald Health Services is hiring a  Travel - Surgical Technician


Shift:  Mid / 10:30a-11p, 12x3, 36 hrs per week ( must be flexible)
Length: 13 Weeks

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience
Prior travel highly preferred
BLS
No locals

If offered, RN will have online EPIC training and some other learning/modules online to complete prior to being able to start

The Surgical Technician (ST) provides high level of care by assisting with age-specific surgical procedures, practices principles of surgical asepsis, identifies breaks in the sterile field and ensures that appropriate action is taken. Anticipates needs of the surgical team and promotes efficient flow of the operative procedure, serves as a resource for specialty area and functions effectively in multiple areas. Follows policies, protocols, techniques, and guidelines, utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize excellence in customer service, safe patient care and professionalism. Contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Performs other duties as needed.

Required:

High School Diploma or GED required. Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technology program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Minimum two years of experience in Surgical Technology. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certification in Surgical Technology from national association preferred.
