1. Follows clinic procedure/protocol for the organization and management of the electronic medical record (i.e. test results, retrieval, filing, creation, repair, charging of electronic medical record). 2. Acts to facilitate interdisciplinary communication. Utilizes other members of the health care team in assessing the patient and analyzes patient data. Assesses learning needs of the patient and significant others. Gives clear and complete information to patient and family. 3. Demonstrates ability to recognize and assess urgent/emergency needs of patients and initiate appropriate emergency procedures as needed. 4. Provides patient and family education and documents in medical record. 5. Assists with a variety of procedures, exams and/or operation of diagnostic equipment as assigned (i.e., tympanometry, spirometry, etc.). Proficient in IV skills and IV hydration. 6. Maintains appropriate aseptic technique for preparation, pro¬cedures and medications administered. 7. Accurately documents all patient interactions in patient record. 8. Reports results and pertinent information to patients and health care team members. 9. Applies professional nursing skills in the provision of preventive health maintenance and treatment of ill and injured patients utilizing the four aspects of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
