Job Description

Emerald Health Services is hiring a Travel RN - ICU

Shift: Nights/ 6:45p-7:15a, 12x3, 36 or 48hrs/week
Length: 13 Weeks

Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience
  • ACLS, BCLS, PALS, NIHSS
  • CCRN and TNCC preferred
  • Vents, IV Start, Triage, PA Lines, Telemetry, Conscious Sedation and EKOS skills required
  • NC License
12hr Nights, **Will accept 36 or 48hrs WITH NO OT BILLED UNTIL AFTER 48HRS!!! FLOATING REQUIRED: Will be required to float to our Intermediate Stepdown, Cardiac Telemetry, and Medical units. Target Ratios: 1:2-3. WEEKENDS REQUIRED: 2 weekends per 6 week schedule. ** Unit does take COVID patients.*** Multi-system organ failure, sepsis, cardiac, respiratory failure-hypoxia, COPD, PNA, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, ETOH withdrawal, CVA, tPA for NIHSS <6, CRRT, IABP, target temperature management, invasive and non-invasive cardiac output monitoring, EKOS, can take pediatrics patients but it's very rare. Daily Census= 10. PYXIS/ EPIC/ SBAR. Utilize algorithm based critical care medicine protocols-a nurse on the unit that has received the education would assist them with running the protocols assist providers with intubation, central line insertions, a-line insertions, chest tube insertions. 20 beds are split into 2 physical locations. 1 unit has 12 beds and the other has 8 beds. Certifications Required: ACLS, BCLS, PALS and NIHSS. CCRN and TNCC preferred. Skills Required: Vents, IV Start, Triage, PA Lines, Telemetry, Conscious Sedation. EKOS preferred. Minimum Experience Required: 2 years. Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler: No (would consider if necessary but not preferred). Scrubs: navy and/or white. Self schedule but WILL be balanced by unit based on needs and subject to change.
