Job Description

RN Med/Surg (Adult and Pediatrics)

Is responsible for care of all patients from birth to elderly, including post-surgical and behavioral health patients. Is responsible for conducting the initial assessment and re-assessment every 24 hours. Must have completed a program of education in nursing from an NLN approved institution. Minimum experience preferred 3 (three) years Peds - Med/Surg. In addition, must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS & ACLS. Candidate must have a strong background with Peds/MedSurg to be considered. (Again, the candidate must have Peds experience)

Private Housing is not provided. Initial Airfare to YKHC will be "reimbursed" upon candidate's arrival (This is only based on the average cost of a plane ticket, if the candidate brings additional items they will be responsible for the cost). Cab vouchers will be provided based on the employee's proximity and distance to the hospital (this is done at the discretion of the Hiring Manager).

Additionally, airfare is paid initially by the candidate and/or the agency and will be reimbursed upon the candidate's arrival here in Bethel, AK. Please let us know when this is done. (Note: We recommend reserving the flight for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday as we have New Hire Orientation classes on Tuesday of each week)
