JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team who is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care throughout the nursing process in all assigned areas. The RN will be required to assess patients upon admission using appropriate interview techniques to obtain past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests. They will be involved in the planning and implementation of a written care plan under the direction of a Physician.
Job Description:
The Operating Room at St Josephs in Nashua is focused on safe, high quality, cost-efficient patient care. This role is for an OR RN for our 4 +CYSTO room OR. We do surgical cases in the specialties of General, Orthopedics, OrthoTrauma, NeuroSpine, Urology, GYN, Vascular, Podiatry, Robotics (both DaVinci and Mako), ENT, and Dental.
The Operating Room RN staff do have the opportunity to scrub, if that is in their training. We perform scheduled cases Monday through Friday from 730am to 5pm. All other times are covered by call for urgent or emergency cases. We have a dedicated call team that covers 7pm to 7am Monday through Thursday, as well as 7am Saturday until 7am Monday. Call included with this position would be shared amongst all OR RN staff, Monday through Thursday 5p-7p, (stay late person), Friday 5p-7a and occasional to rare vacation coverage for call teams. Holiday call coverage, shared amongst all OR RN staff is also expected from this position

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:

• Bachelor's degree required

• Must possess a valid State of New Hampshire RN license

• BLS certification required

• ACLS required

"Experience:

• 3 years of previous nursing experience preferred

• Medical terminology required

Other Skills Required:

• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
