The RN will be responsible for assessing patients on admission and throughout stay, developing and periodically updating individualized, multidisciplinary plan of care, and reviewing discharge plans/instructions with patients/families and documenting a discharge summary. They would administer medications, IV therapy, blood and it's components according to established clinical standards and policies.
The Specialty Care Rehabilitation unit provides short-term skilled nursing and rehab services to patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other illnesses or injuries of a short-term nature where a rehab approach might be beneficial . Nursing services often include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Associates Degree in Nursing Required
• Valid State of Maine RN license required
• BLS certification required
Experience:
• At least 3 year previous experience preferred,
Other Skills Required:
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills required
• Highly organized
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
