The Emergency Department is a busy Level II Trauma unit and consists of 33 beds.  The ED is staffed with RN’s, Tech’s and HUC’s.  Ratios are typically 3-4:1 depending on acuity and need.  Candidates need to exhibit strong IV start and management skills, be team players and be adaptable.  Vocera is utilized for easy communication and feedback within the facility.  iSTATwhich is a handheld, easy-to-use, and portable blood analyzer that provides health care professionals with access to real-time, lab-quality results within minutes, rather than hours is also utilized in the critical care areas. 

Unit Description

ER Experience Required:

 

RN

  • ER required 2 years minimum experience
  • Previous travel experience of 1 year strongly preferred
  • Epic experience strongly preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC and an NIHSS are required

Facility Information

361-bed regional medical center that is home to the South Sound’s largest heart and vascular center, a Level II Trauma Center and a Level III NICU. Other advanced programs include robotic-assisted surgery, Gamma Knife, joint replacement and one of the largest hospital-based nephrology (kidney care) programs on the West Coast
