Registered Nurse - Outpatient Clinic Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for an outpatient clinic specializing in GI Oncology. This position offers an opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced setting, focusing on providing high-quality care and support. Responsibilities Administer nursing care to patients with GI oncology diagnoses. Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs. Manage IV placements and laboratory tests, including blood glucose monitoring via glucometer. Collect specimens as needed. Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records using the EPIC system. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of outpatient clinic experience. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certifications in Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred. Patient Demographics The position involves working with adult and geriatric patients. Work Environment Expect to manage a high volume of patient visits, approximately 125 per day, in a collaborative and supportive healthcare environment.
