Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This position is essential for providing high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in a CVICU setting, managing complex cardiac cases. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician. Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition promptly. Utilize advanced telemetry and ventilation equipment to support patient care. Assist in procedures and provide conscious sedation as required. Maintain accurate patient records using the Epic system. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Required to float within units of equivalent or lower levels of acuity as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Demonstrated skills in IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan Ganz catheter, balloon pumps, and PA lines. Epic experience is mandatory. Previous travel nurse experience is preferred. Schedule This is a night shift position, with three 12-hour shifts per week. Shifts typically run from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekdays and some weekends. Candidates should be prepared for rotating holidays and may be required to work up to six weekend shifts within a four-week scheduling period.
