Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in an emergency department setting. Job Details Shift: 4x12 Night shifts (1900 - 0700) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Patient Ratio: 1:5 Local Candidates: Not accepted (75-mile radius restriction) Qualifications New York State RN License required Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency nursing Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Experience with EPIC charting is essential Unit Information The emergency department includes an 11-bed medical unit along with a separate CPEP unit, which is staffed by both nursing and PCT personnel. This unit has two distinct areas: an evaluation space for up to 6 patients and an Extended Observation space for 2 patients. A nurse, PCT, and a CPEP Behavioral Health team are available whenever patients are present. Patients are triaged and medically cleared before entering the CPEP space and may require labs or EKGs while there. Security personnel are stationed in the emergency department.
