Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic emergency department team. This position requires a commitment to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Shift Details Schedule: 3x12 Hour Night Shifts (19:00 - 07:00) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Responsibilities Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients in the emergency department. Assess and triage patients based on clinical symptoms and history. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform necessary medical procedures. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Ensure proper documentation in patient charts using EPIC. Assist in managing patient flow and maintaining a safe environment. Unit Overview This position is within an 11-bed medical emergency department that includes a separate CPEP unit staffed by ED nursing and PCT staff. The CPEP unit consists of two distinct spaces for patient evaluation and extended observation with dedicated staffing to support patient needs. Qualifications Active New York State RN license required. Minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required. Experience using EPIC for patient documentation is mandatory. Additional Information Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:5 First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
