Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment while floating as needed. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient care in the Emergency Department. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor patient conditions through telemetry and other assessments. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans. Document patient interactions and care in accordance with established protocols. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required. At least 1 year of travel nursing experience is required. Oncology experience is preferred but not required. Experience using EPIC electronic health records is required. Certifications Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Skills Required Proficiency in IV starts. Experience with telemetry monitoring. Patient Ratio The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4. Request Time Off (RTO) Submission of RTO is required at the time of application. 7 consecutive days off may be granted at the facility's discretion for a 14-week contract. Parking Options Agency staff have the option to purchase parking permits through the designated service. Available options include: WMC Agency Permit: 24/7 access to the designated garage with guaranteed availability. WB Permit: Weekend and holiday access to specified garages, with shuttle service provided to the area. CXS Permit: Similar access to specified garages on weekends and holidays.
