Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Position Summary An opportunity exists for a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic emergency department setting. The RN will work a night shift, providing critical support during high-acuity situations and responding to diverse patient needs. Key Responsibilities Care for patients in a fast-paced emergency department environment with mixed and shared acuity levels. Perform mandatory competencies including phlebotomy and IV placement. Administer emergency medications, blood products, and manage central lines. Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and provide care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. Administer procedural sedation and continuous IV sedation/paralytics as needed. Comply with isolation precautions and utilize appropriate protective gear. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency department setting preferred. Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS. Required skills: interpretation of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, phlebotomy, starting IVs, and management of emergency conditions. Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred. Availability to float to different areas if census requires it. Every other weekend availability is required. Work Schedule This position involves working night shifts, typically three 12-hour shifts per week. While there may be flexibility for block scheduling, it cannot be guaranteed. Minimal requests for time off are preferred. Additional Information The scrub colors for the position are any combination of navy and white.
