Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) The Endoscopy Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients using the nursing process, therapeutic engagement, and collaboration with other healthcare team members. This role demands adherence to established standards of care and the core values set forth by the Division of Nursing. The RN will report to the assigned Unit Director. Key Responsibilities Assessment: Conduct ongoing and systematic assessments, focusing on the physiological, psychological, and cognitive status of patients. Diagnosis: Analyze assessment data to determine appropriate nursing diagnoses. Outcome Identification: Identify appropriate expected outcomes tailored to the individual patient. Planning: Develop a goal-directed plan of care that prioritizes nursing diagnoses and aligns with patient outcomes. Implementation: Deliver care consistently while documenting duties accurately and promptly. Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of nursing interventions and the contributions of the healthcare team toward achieving patient outcomes. Professional Performance Adhere to safety protocols and perform efficiently in emergency situations according to established guidelines. Maintain a current knowledge base and demonstrate sound judgment in caring for designated patient populations. Abide by all institutional policies and procedures. Incorporate hourly rounding into daily practice. Education and Development Participate in ongoing education and development activities relevant to the nursing role.
