Registered Nurse Position Overview This role is designed for a Registered Nurse with experience in inpatient acute care and emergency department settings. The successful candidate will provide essential patient care in a medical-surgical unit (MSU) while also offering support in the emergency room (ER) as needed. Key Responsibilities Assist in triage and critical care for patients in the ER. Perform charge duties in the MSU when required. Manage detox patients and provide comprehensive care in a non-ICU setting. Handle new admissions and facilitate transfers to higher levels of care. Support discharge processes, including discharges against medical advice (AMA). Participate in facility and bed diversion efforts. Act as part of the rapid response team during emergencies. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure proper isolation procedures are followed. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of one year of experience in a relevant clinical setting. Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Proficient in using EPIC electronic health record system. Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to the dynamic needs of the unit. Orientation and Support The organization will provide at least two shifts of orientation, with additional orientation available if needed. A comprehensive resource list will be provided to assist with common issues that may arise during shifts. Work Schedule This position requires a commitment to a 4x12-hour shift schedule, working Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, from 7 AM to 7 PM, every other weekend.
