ICU Registered Nurse (RN) We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. This position requires a strong clinical background in critical care nursing, with a focus on adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care for patients with complex and critical diagnoses including oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, and sepsis. Administer treatments and therapies such as mechanical ventilation, arterial pressure monitoring, and chemotherapy. Utilize advanced clinical skills for procedures including central venous catheter placement, pulmonary artery catheter placement, and CRRT. Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition effectively and timely. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Participate in clinical trials and utilize evidence-based practice to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Required Skills Proficient in managing ventilators and initiating IV starts. Experience with computerized charting, specifically EPIC. Certifications Current ACLS certification Current BLS certification NIH Stroke Scale certification Patient Demographics The ICU unit primarily serves adult and geriatric patients, focusing on those with critical care needs. Shift Information This position includes a 12-hour night shift, with rotating assignments based on departmental needs. Schedule adjustments are reviewed every four weeks.
