MICU Registered Nurse (RN) Shift Information 12-hour shifts available: Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Schedule Every other weekend is required. Floating to other units within the organization may be necessary based on operational needs. Requirements Active RN experience in ICU/MICU is required. Certifications required: ACLS BLS NIHSS Experience with EMR: Epic is preferred. Unit Details Patient population consists of adults. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1. Scrubs should be navy blue. Common Skills & Responsibilities Ventilator management Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips IV sedation Neuromuscular blockade Arterial lines and central lines PICC line management Blood product administration Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Dysrhythmia interpretation and 12-lead EKGs Hypothermia protocol Stroke and neuro care BiPAP/CPAP and High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) Wound vac management Adherence to isolation precautions and infection prevention Parking Options WMC Monthly Permit: Includes guaranteed 24/7 parking in the garage.
