Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Float Pool. This role requires flexibility to support various Intensive Care Units (ICUs) across multiple locations within the region, including Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU), Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), and Cardiology units. The Critical Care Float Pool also assists with transplant patients, including Kidney, Liver, Lung, and Heart transplants. Responsibilities Float to all ICUs as needed within the organization Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in critical situations Monitor and manage patients with complex health conditions including multisystem organ dysfunction and failure Perform a wide range of clinical procedures, including obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG and managing dysrhythmias Support post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients Requirements Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a strong preference for critical care experience Ability to float to various units as required Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Essential skills in critical cardiovascular care, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management Scheduling and Work Expectations Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, with a minimum of every other weekend (EOW) Parking Options Multiple parking permit options are available for employees, including monthly and annual permits that provide guaranteed parking.
