ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position involves working night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule and requires strong clinical skills and the ability to handle critical situations effectively. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions consistently. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Maintain accurate and updated patient records using the EPIC documentation system. Perform IV starts and manage infusion therapy proficiently. Utilize telemetry technology and manage ventilators effectively. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience is required. Proficiency in the EPIC electronic health records system is mandatory. Current certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Strong skills in IV administration, telemetry, and ventilator management. Preferred Qualifications Previous travel nursing experience is regarded as advantageous.
