Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Critical Care to support our Float Pool. This role entails providing care across various Intensive Care Units (ICUs), including but not limited to, Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU), Cardiac/Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), and Cardiology. The Float Pool may also require floating to other departments within the organization as needed. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients across multiple ICUs. Float between different critical care units as required. Monitor, assess, and manage patients with complex health conditions. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care and treatment plans. Qualifications A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in critical care settings. Must possess current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Proficient in critical care skills including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with patients experiencing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Ability to perform and interpret 12 lead EKG/ECG. Experience with post-cardiac surgery patients preferred, but not mandatory.
