ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of critical conditions. Key Responsibilities Caring for patients with diagnoses such as oncologic emergencies, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), gastrointestinal bleeds, neuromuscular diseases, drug overdoses, and sepsis. Administering complex medication regimens and chemotherapy. Utilizing advanced treatments including mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and plasmapheresis. Monitoring patient conditions through arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, and clinical trials. Assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy and endoscopy as necessary. Qualifications Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience. Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH. Strong skills in managing ventilators and initiating intravenous (IV) starts. Proficiency in computerized charting, specifically in EPIC. Schedule This position involves a rotating schedule including day and night shifts as needed by the department. Shift assignments are reviewed every four weeks based on staffing priorities.
