ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves critical care nursing duties in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality patient care for individuals requiring intensive monitoring and treatment. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Monitor vital signs and manage complex medical equipment. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records. Participate in floating to different units as required. Qualifications Current New York State RN license required. A minimum of 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience is necessary. Charge experience is highly preferred. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required. Availability to work every other weekend on night shifts, 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Local candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius. Additional Information First-time travelers may be considered for this position. The nurse-to-patient ratio in the ICU setting is typically 2-3 patients per nurse, promoting an environment focused on safe and effective care.
