Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary The Professional RN Team Lead is responsible for ensuring effective time management, critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization within a skilled nursing facility. This role includes direct patient care, which involves assessment, monitoring, recording, and reporting on patients' conditions. The RN Team Lead collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team to advocate for patients and provides high-quality care. Key Responsibilities Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and documentation accurately. Advocate for patient needs and preferences. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care. Participate in unit councils and staff meetings to enhance teamwork and efficiency. Maintain clinical competence and complete required education within specified timeframes. Practice ethically and professionally within the scope of practice. Promote evidence-based practices related to patient care. Communicate effectively and document thoroughly in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Requirements Current RN License with state verification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. Willingness to sit or stand for extended periods. Flexibility to float to different units as staffing permits. Availability for every other weekend and holiday shifts. Preparations to cover LPN Med Cart positions as needed based on staffing requirements. Unit Information This position is set within a skilled nursing facility that houses 120 beds, organized into three units with a maximum of 40 residents per unit. Each unit is managed by a dedicated RN Manager. The standard staffing ratios for this RN position on an evening shift includes 1 RN, 2 LPNs, and 3-4 CNAs for the care of 40 residents. Orientation The typical orientation period for this position is one day on the assigned unit. Attire Employees are permitted to wear scrubs of any color while on duty. PK-38675933
