Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology Chemo Certified Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on oncology and chemotherapy certification to provide high-quality care for patients with acute leukemia. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hematology oncology and demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and infection prevention. Position Details Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Staffing Ratios: Goal of 1:4, may be 1:5 Weekends: Variable based on unit needs Schedule: No set or blocked scheduling Special Focus Areas Heavy emphasis on infection prevention protocols Preventing patient falls Certifications Required BLS ACLS ONS Chemotherapy Certification Preferred Certifications NIHSS Qualifications Must have MS oncology and at least one inpatient hematology oncology experience documented in work history A minimum of two years of overall nursing experience Experience in telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and telemetry monitoring Skills Required Management of IV therapy and phlebotomy Administration of blood products Central line blood draws and peripheral line care management PICC line management and starting IVs Feeding tube care and management Familiarity with Rapid Response Teams Charting System Experience with computerized charting, specifically using EPIC, is preferred.
