Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Shift Notes: 4x12 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with a night schedule 48 hours per week (36 hours can be accommodated if preferred) Holiday rotation required Must be available to float across multiple locations within the region No on-call requirements Weekend requirement: every third weekend Unit Information: Bed Size: 30 beds Patient Types: Med surg and post-operative/spine Drips: Heparin Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Days - 1:5, Nights - 1:6 Scrub Color: Navy Blue, solids Job Requirements: 24 months of Med Surg experience in a hospital or medical center setting Strong experience with heparin Must have a minimum of 3 months of current travel experience within the past year Experience in post-operative care and surgical procedures Spine care experience is required Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is essential Certification Requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Licensure Requirements: Active Iowa state license or a compact/multistate nursing license at the time of submission We invite qualified candidates to apply for this opportunity in a dynamic and supportive environment where you can contribute to patient care and enhance your nursing skills.
