Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking skilled and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) for assignments in various locations within the region. Our ideal candidates are committed to providing high-quality patient care and have experience in acute care settings. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care in accordance with established standards and protocols. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team. Participate in patient education and support to promote health and wellness. Document patient care services and maintain accurate patient records. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Working Hours Contract positions are available for 36 to 48 hours per week, with options for 8, 10, or 13-week assignments. Holiday Requirement Unless the unit is closed, contractors are required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays. Qualifications Active RN license in the state of practice; IA single state or compact RN license required, with an IL license application at the time of offer acceptance. Minimum of one completed travel contract preferred. Experience with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC, is required. Cardiac experience is mandatory, along with current BLS and NIHSS certifications. ACLS certification is preferred. New graduates are welcome to apply. Must not have worked with the organization in the previous 12 months. Skills Checklist A skills checklist must be completed within one year of the submission date and submitted with your application. Additional Information Shifts may include various assignments where specific drips are administered, including Heparin, Cardizem, Nitro, Non-DKA insulin, and Amiodarone.
