Job Opportunity Position Overview We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Medical Oncology and Benign Hematology unit. This position primarily focuses on the care of patients with solid tumor cancers, guiding them through their treatment journey, from diagnosis to end-of-life care. Experience in oncology is preferred, but not mandatory. Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. Monitor and interpret telemetry data. Administer antineoplastic chemotherapy and manage other associated medications. Implement infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention strategies. Float to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units as required. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Shifts Day Shift: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30) Night Shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory. Telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills are essential. ONS Chemotherapy certification is preferred. Unit Details The unit provides comprehensive care for all solid tumor cancers and focuses on various patient needs throughout their cancer journey. The nursing staff is responsible for managing simultaneous medical-surgical issues in patients with oncological diagnoses.
