Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Oncology and Benign Hematology team. This role involves providing care for adult and geriatric patients diagnosed with various solid tumors throughout their cancer journey, from diagnosis to treatment and assistance with end-of-life care. A strong focus on infection prevention and patient fall protocols is essential. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with a variety of oncological diagnoses, including but not limited to breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers. Monitor patients using telemetry and interpret telemetry data effectively. Assist in chemotherapy administration and manage complications related to treatment. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients. Participate in infection prevention and safety protocols to enhance patient outcomes. Float to other Medical Surgical Oncology units as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Preferred: ONS Chemotherapy certification. Experience with computerized charting, specifically EPIC, is ideal. Telemetry monitoring experience required. Additional Information This position involves working 12-hour shifts, with a rotating schedule that includes both day and night shifts based on departmental needs. Scheduling will be reviewed every four weeks and is subject to change based on staffing priorities. Weekend work is variable and determined by unit requirements.
