Job Opportunity Position Overview We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our Medical Oncology team. This role offers the chance to work with adult and geriatric patients dealing with various solid tumor cancers throughout their treatment journey. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing treatments for diagnoses including, but not limited to, breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers. Assist with patient transitions, including end-of-life care. Implement infection prevention protocols and manage patient fall risks. Respond to and manage true medical-surgical issues as they arise. Staffing and Scheduling Staffing ratios aim for 1:4, with a possibility of up to 1:5. Weekend shifts will vary based on unit needs. No set or blocked scheduling is available for permanent staff. Floating to other MedSurg Oncology units may be required. Qualifications Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a nursing role is required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ONS Chemotherapy certification is preferred. Skills: Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring is necessary. Work Environment This position is located in a dynamic and patient-centered oncology unit that manages a variety of unique challenges and provides a supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. Charting and Technology Charting will be done using EPIC, an advanced computerized system for healthcare documentation. Parking Options Agency staff have several parking permit options available: WMC Agency Permit: 24/7 access to Wexner Medical Center Garage. WB Permit: Weekend/holiday access to the designated garages with shuttle service provided to the medical center. CXS Permit: Weekend/holiday access to specified garages and surface lots.
