Medical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position involves providing comprehensive care to patients throughout their cancer journey, from diagnosis and treatment to end-of-life care. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care for patients with various solid tumor cancers. Monitor patient status, including telemetry interpretation and monitoring. Implement infection prevention protocols and manage patient falls. Assist with chemotherapy administration and patient education. Float to other medical-surgical oncology units as needed based on staffing requirements. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Oncology experience is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to care for adult and geriatric populations. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred. Unit Information: The oncology unit cares for patients diagnosed with various cancers, including: Breast Cancer Lung Cancer Prostate Cancer Pancreatic Cancer Colon Cancer Esophageal Cancer Our team is committed to providing compassionate care throughout the patient’s journey, including heavy emphasis on safety protocols and addressing medical-surgical needs. Additional Information: Staffing ratios aim for 1 nurse to 4 patients, with a maximum of 5 patients per nurse. Variable weekend shifts based on unit needs. Computerized charting using EPIC software. Parking permit options available for agency staff, with details provided upon hiring.
