Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary This position involves working with patients in a medical-surgical oncology unit, focusing on the unique needs of oncology patients, including those receiving chemotherapy and requiring symptom management. The role includes performing continuous cardiac monitoring and ensuring adherence to infection prevention protocols. Key Responsibilities Provide care to patients receiving chemotherapy and managing soft tissue malignancies. Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes effectively. Manage comorbidities and secondary symptoms related to disease treatment or progression. Implement infection prevention protocols and fall prevention measures. Special Equipment Used B450 monitors with GE telemetry system Bladder Scanner Alaris pumps Stryker beds Requirements Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4. Ability to float between units of equivalent or lower acuity. Previous travel experience is preferred. Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is required.
