Registered Nurse (RN) Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our oncology team. This position involves providing care for patients with various solid tumor cancers throughout their cancer journey, from diagnosis to treatment, and end-of-life care support. Our nursing staff focuses on delivering excellent patient care while adhering to strict infection prevention protocols and ensuring a safe environment for patients at all times. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cancer diagnoses, including but not limited to breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers. Assist in the delivery of antineoplastic chemotherapy and monitor patient responses. Engage in telemetry interpretation and monitoring to assess patient conditions effectively. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Float to other MedSurg Oncology units as required. Contribute to infection prevention strategies and patient fall prevention efforts. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Oncology experience preferred, but not mandatory. Required certification: Basic Life Support (BLS). Preferred certification: ONS Chemotherapy. Additional Information This position involves variable weekend scheduling based on unit needs. There is no set or blocked scheduling for permanent staff, and agency staff will need to be flexible with floating assignments. Computerized charting will be conducted through the EPIC system.
