Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical Oncology unit. The role involves providing comprehensive care for patients with various oncology-related health needs. Responsibilities Deliver continuous cardiac monitoring associated with chemotherapy administration. Assist in the management of soft tissue malignancies through diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management. Focus on symptom management related to disease progression and treatment. Manage comorbidities effectively. Implement and adhere to strict infection prevention protocols and fall prevention measures. Equipment Utilized B450 monitors (GE telemetry system) Bladder Scanner Alaris pumps Stryker beds Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required. Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required. Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4. Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. Previous travel experience is preferred. Experience with EPIC electronic health records is required. Required Skills Interpretation of dysrhythmias Accessing ports and managing arterial lines Administering blood products Central and PICC line care and management IV initiation Assistance with chest tube insertion and removal High flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) Parking Information Agency staff have multiple parking permit options available.
