Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Oncology and Benign Hematology unit. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing care for adult and geriatric patients throughout all stages of their cancer journey, including new diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life care. Key Responsibilities Provide care for patients with solid tumors, including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers. Administer antineoplastic chemotherapy and ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols and patient fall safety. Monitor telemetry and interpret relevant data. Address medical-surgical issues as they arise. Float to other Med-Surg Oncology units as needed based on staffing requirements. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Exceptional patient care skills with a strong emphasis on empathy and communication. BLS certification required; ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred. Experience with computerized charting using EPIC is highly regarded. Previous travel nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory. Work Environment This position involves a goal staffing ratio of 1:4, with occasional variations to 1:5 based on unit needs. There is no set or blocked scheduling, and weekend availability is required based on unit demands.
