Registered Nurse (RN) Job Overview This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse in a mixed acuity setting, caring for patients in both Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units. The role includes rotating shifts for days, nights, or a combination based on departmental needs, with shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks. Please note that changes to assignments are not guaranteed and are subject to staffing priorities. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols. Perform IV starts and manage tracheostomy care for patients as necessary. Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as prescribed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Provide education and support to patients and their families. Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of RN experience is required. EPIC experience is necessary. Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required. Previous oncology experience is preferred but not required. Experience in travel nursing is advantageous. Skills Proficient in IV starts. Experience in Telemetry nursing. Tracheostomy management skills required. Patient Ratios The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 in this role.
