Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our float pool. This position involves working in multiple units, providing essential care and monitoring to patients in a variety of settings. The role requires commitment to excellence, flexibility, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry setting. Monitor patients' vital signs and changes in conditions, responding appropriately. Perform IV starts and maintain IV therapy as needed. Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement treatment plans. Float between different units as required. Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols. Qualifications Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN). Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry. Experience in travel nursing is preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records. Strong skills in IV placement and telemetry monitoring are essential. Work Schedule This position is for a Night shift, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required.
