Medical Oncology Nurse We are seeking a dedicated Medical Oncology Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients navigating their cancer journey. This position involves working with a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics with various solid tumor cancers. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Oncology experience preferred but not required. Required certifications: BLS Preferred certifications: ONS Chemotherapy Certified Core Responsibilities Care for patients with various diagnoses including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers. Provide support during all stages of the cancer journey from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care. Implement infection prevention protocols and strategies to reduce patient falls. Monitor telemetry and interpret telemetry data effectively. Float between MedSurg Oncology units as necessary based on unit needs. Shift and Scheduling Details Staffing ratios goal is 1:4, but may be adjusted to 1:5 as needed. Variable weekend scheduling based on unit requirements. No set or blocked scheduling will be offered. Additional Information Experience with computerized charting using EPIC is preferred. Previous travel nursing experience is also preferred. The role includes responsibility for patients with medical-surgical issues as they relate to oncology treatments.
