Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med Surg/Telemetry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Shift Notes: Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday or three days on weekends with a fourth shift during the week (at RN discretion) 4x12 hour shifts; 48 hours per week (36 hours can be accommodated if preferred) Holiday rotation required Float to other locations and similar units as needed No on-call responsibilities Weekend Requirements: As scheduled Patient Care Responsibilities: Caring for patients in a med surg setting, including overflow of post-operative surgical hip and knee patients Management of telehealth monitoring Administering medications including heparin drips Unit Information: Patient Types: All types of Med Surg care, including overflow of post-op surgical hips/knees and psych patients Patient Ratios: 4-5 patients per nurse Bed Size: 24 beds Remote telemetry monitoring Scrubs: Navy blue, solid colors Qualifications: Minimum of 24 months experience in Med Surg/Med Surg Tele nursing First-time travelers are accepted Experience in caring for psych patients preferred Charge nurse experience required Preceptor experience is a plus Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multistate license at time of submission is required Experience with EPIC EMR is required Certification Requirements: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated RN looking to further their career in a supportive and challenging environment.
