Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Overview The 3B/3C Stroke Telemetry Unit is a high-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical environment specializing in the care of acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. This 34-bed unit is designed to deliver evidence-based, protocol-driven care with a strong focus on patient safety, rapid intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities & Expectations Perform and document frequent neurological assessments, including the NIH Stroke Scale. Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, responding to changes in real time. Ensure compliance with stroke core measures, including dysphagia screening, education, and care plans. Administer medications following BCMA standards with a focus on safety and accuracy. Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team, including providers, therapy, and case management. Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover environment. Maintain a constant focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and overall patient safety. Qualifications Current BLS and ACLS certification required. Completion of 8 hours of stroke training. Ability to read and interpret basic rhythm strips prior to arriving at the facility. PK-38523141
