Registered Nurse (RN) Department RN Medical / Surgical / Telemetry Certifications BLS ACLS 8 Hours of Stroke Training Licensure State License Verification Qualifications Must possess ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, and the ability to read basic rhythm strips prior to arriving at the facility. Expected to work collaboratively with primary and team nursing. Unit Overview The Stroke Telemetry Unit is a high-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical environment focused on the care of acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. This unit is designed to deliver evidence-based, protocol-driven care with an emphasis on patient safety, rapid intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities & Expectations Perform and document frequent neurological assessments, including the NIH Stroke Scale. Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, responding to changes in real time. Ensure compliance with stroke core measures, including dysphagia screening, education, and care plans. Administer medications following BCMA standards with a focus on safety and accuracy. Coordinate patient care with an interdisciplinary team, including providers, therapy, and case management. Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover environment. Maintain a constant focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and overall patient safety. PK-38687637
