Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description This position follows a streamlined clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone and text, with decisions typically made the same day or by the next business day. The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during their shift. Responsibilities include: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Making clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and skills. Assisting in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff including LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required. Strong attendance record with a commitment to reporting for all assigned shifts on time. Competence with cardiac medications (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex) and knowledge of titration and application of these medications. Ability to monitor telemetry and demonstrate a thorough understanding of heart rhythms. Critical thinking skills to recognize changes in patient status and implement appropriate interventions. Knowledge of signs and symptoms of stroke and the ability to respond effectively to changes in patient condition. Excellent communication skills. Certification Requirements Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Active NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. Licensure Requirements Must possess an active Ohio RN license or a Compact RN license. PK-38298841
