Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during their shift, following the mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures of the healthcare system. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria, applying scientific knowledge and clinical skills to make informed judgments. Responsibilities Manage patient care effectively and efficiently during assigned shifts. Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate care plans. Evaluate patient outcomes and make adjustments as needed. Assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff, such as LPNs and PCTs. Demonstrate competency with cardiac medications and their titration. Monitor telemetry and have a strong understanding of heart rhythms. Recognize and respond to changes in patient status. Identify signs and symptoms of stroke and take necessary actions. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Work Schedule Full-time position with 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Every other weekend rotation. Floating to all units within skill level as necessary. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required. Active Ohio nursing license or compact RN license. Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to intervene effectively based on patient assessments. Excellent communication skills are essential.
