Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Telemetry Shift Details This position is for a night shift, 4x12 hours, from 7 PM to 7 AM. Weekend Coverage Required every other weekend. Experience Requirements Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. First-time travelers are not accepted. Locals must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. Technology Requirement Experience with Epic electronic health record system is mandatory. Nurse-to-Patient Ratios Days: 1:6 Nights: 1:7 Weekends: 1:8 Patient Diagnoses COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) Pneumonia Non-specific abdominal pain Cellulitis Chest pain (rule out) Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required Skills Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Use of Rapid Response/Code teams Blood Product Administration Central Line Care/Management Peripheral Line Care/Management PICC Line Management IV Start and Maintenance Care for cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) Management of seizure disorders Substance withdrawal management BiPAP/CPAP management and maintenance High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) usage Nasal Cannula and oxygen administration Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge Uniform Requirements Any nursing uniform color is acceptable.
