Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry position. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment during night shifts. Shift Details Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Weekend Coverage: Every Other Weekend Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required First-time travelers are not accepted Local candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Experience with Epic electronic health records is required Nurse Ratios Days: 1 nurse to 6 patients Nights: 1 nurse to 7 patients Weekends: 1 nurse to 8 patients Patient Diagnoses The unit handles a variety of patient diagnoses, including: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Pneumonia Abdominal pain of unspecified origin Cellulitis Chest pain with a focus on ruling out serious conditions Required Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Skills Applicants should possess the following skills: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias Experience with rapid response and code teams Blood product administration and central/peripheral line management PICC line management and IV proficiency CVA and seizure disorder management Substance withdrawal care BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management Oxygen administration and tank management Knowledge of isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) Uniform Requirements Any nursing uniform color is acceptable for this position.
