Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. This position requires strong competencies in phlebotomy and intravenous (IV) placements, as these skills are essential for delivering quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Monitor and interpret patient data, including heart rhythms and vital signs. Provide care for patients with various diagnoses, including cardiac, pulmonary, pain management, gastrointestinal issues, infections, and unmanaged diabetes mellitus. Utilize Rapid Response Teams when necessary and manage peripheral line care and oxygen therapy. Assist with daily living activities and collaborate with Patient Care Technicians for vital sign checks and other basic care tasks. Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and safety protocols. Qualifications Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively. Experience with the use of medical equipment, including bladder scanners, tele monitors, EKG machines, and lifepacks. Familiarity with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system is preferred. Work Schedule Night shifts are 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend requirements include every other weekend. Floating may be required to meet facility needs, including stable patients in ICU and other units. Additional Information Block schedule requests will be considered but are not guaranteed. Local candidates are not accepted if residing within 75 miles. Request time off (RTO) is limited to a maximum of 1 week during the contract period.
