Registered Nurse (RN) We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients in a complex medical environment. Job Responsibilities Provide care for patients in a complex care unit, including medicine, orthopedic overflow, and complex long-term care. Monitor patients using telemetry and assist with the administration of blood products, central line management, and phlebotomy. Manage and provide care for feeding tubes, temporary and permanent pacemakers, and tracheostomies. Administer medications and handle IV management, including starting IVs and following heparin protocols. Support patients post-surgery with total joint replacements and orthopedic trauma. Perform wound care, including the use of wound vacs, and manage surgical drains. Utilize high flow nasal cannula, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, and portable oxygen tanks for patient respiratory needs. Implement isolation precautions as needed. Collaborate with rapid response and code teams as necessary. Qualifications Must possess a valid nursing license. BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications are required. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar role. Charge nurse experience is required. Proficient in EPIC for patient charting. Ability to manage a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 in a MedSurg setting. Availability for alternating shifts, including days and nights, and necessary weekend coverage. Willingness to float to various units as required.
