MS/Tele Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MS/Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The position involves providing comprehensive patient care in a cardiac unit, focusing on monitoring and managing patient conditions associated with cardiovascular health. Key Responsibilities Perform phlebotomy and establish peripheral intravenous (IV) access as required. Monitor patients' vital signs and conduct assessments to interpret dysrhythmias. Utilize rapid response teams for effective management of patient emergencies. Administer oxygen therapy utilizing nasal cannula and face masks, as well as managing portable oxygen tanks. Implement isolation precautions and ensure adherence to infection control guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide high-quality care and support for patients and families. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with at least one year of nursing experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively. Competency in using Epic for charting and patient management. Work Environment Day/Evening Ratios: 5 to 1, with potential stretching to 6-7. Night Ratios: Generally 6-7 to 1, with potential stretching to 8-10 if staffing shortages occur. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) will assist with vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and daily living activities. Travelers may float within their scope to meet facility needs. Scheduling Requirements Weekend work is required every other week. Requests for time off should not exceed one week during the contract period.
