Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler will contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. Shift Details Start time: 0700 Shift length: 12 hours 36-hour guarantee per week Floating required within the same discipline Every third weekend commitment Holiday Requirements The traveler will be required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day). A limit of 1 day request off will be permitted between November 25-29 and December 23-27 for all travelers. Patient Care Responsibilities Types of patients include: orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, and medical cases. Experience with high-acuity care is preferred. Administration of drips including Heparin, PCA, epidural is required; chemotherapy experience is preferred if certified. Unit Specifications Scrub color: Navy Blue Certification Requirements Active BLS (AHA preferred; will also accept ARC or US Military certificates) Active ACLS (AHA preferred; will also accept ARC or US Military certificates) Active NIHSS (can be obtained during onboarding) Additional Requirements A minimum of 2 years of Med Surg and/or Oncology experience is required.
